NAYAK AVIATION

Nayak Aviation Corp, a closely held family business, was founded in 1961 by the Rust family of Waring, Texas to provide a full range of Fixed Base Operator services at San Antonio International Airport. The family members were huge aviation buffs; Mr. Rust had built his own aircraft at the age of 13, prior to WW II beginning. The Rusts were avid pilots; Mr. Rust encouraged all his close family members to share his love of flying, a passion evidenced by his daily aircraft commute to San Antonio from Waring up to the age of 82 years old.

Through a partnership with Texaco Aviation that began in 1961, and continues to the present day, the Nayak FBO was able to offer a full range of fueling services to all Commercial and General Aviation customers at SAT. In addition, the FBO offered Aircraft Sales, Storage, and modifications to General Aviation Aircraft. A total of 46 STC’s were developed, many of them by the founder, Mr. Elton Rust, and shipped to aircraft owners worldwide. Many of those STC’s are still in use today.

The FBO operation was purchased in 2002 by Allied Aviation Services. Allied Aviation has used it’s expertise to upgrade the fuel delivery systems to allow for the additional volume requirements of modern day General and Commercial Aviation. Allied Aviation has also retained the FBO name, and to this day provides the same stellar service that has made Nayak Aviation a preferred destination for decades.

Nayak Aviation is committed to remaining the FBO of choice for San Antonio Airport, and has recently inked commitments to build a new FBO complex. The new complex will feature some 60,000+SF of additional hangar storage, 230,000 SF of new concrete ramp area, and a state of the art lobby and customer service facility, replete with such features as hotel style crew rest rooms, featuring wireless access and flat panel TV’s.
